Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Form Setter / Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up formwork, installing rebar, and finishing concrete surfaces with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will help bring construction projects to life, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to renovation sites, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience.
Duties
- Set up and secure formwork for concrete pours using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as needed
- Install rebar and metal framing according to schematics and blueprints to reinforce concrete structures
- Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other machinery to facilitate efficient pouring processes
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and applying finishing techniques such as troweling.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications
- Use hand tools like hammers, chisels, saws, and power tools safely and effectively on construction sites
Qualifications
- Proven experience in concrete forming, finishing, and related construction activities on commercial or residential sites
- Mechanical knowledge of construction equipment including concrete mixers, pumps, heavy lifting machinery, and power tools
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate project execution
- Knowledge of rebar installation, carpentry is a bonus, and restoration techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during concrete finishing tasks
- Familiarity with site safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred but not required
