Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Concrete Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting the successful completion of concrete-related projects by performing a variety of hands-on tasks. Duties
- Assist with the preparation and layout of concrete forms, including framing and rebar installation to ensure structural integrity.
- Operate and maintain concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively.
- Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete surfaces using hand tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds to achieve smooth finishes.
- Support the installation of hardscapes, masonry elements, tile laying, and flooring to enhance project aesthetics and durability.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute tasks aligned with project specifications.
- Perform demolition, restoration, or renovation work as needed for site preparation or project modifications.
- Conduct heavy lifting and material handling while adhering to safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience working on construction sites with knowledge of concrete finishing, formwork, rebar installation, and masonry techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating concrete mixers, pumps, power tools, and heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and blueprint reading for precise task execution.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, climbing scaffolding or ladders, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safety procedures including caulking, plastering, stucco application, carpentry (trim carpentry & framing), roofing basics, welding, metal stud framing, flooring installation, tile laying, and concrete pumping is highly desirable.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or experience operating heavy machinery is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in construction techniques such as renovation or restoration projects.
