Concrete Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in various aspects of concrete work, including forming, finishing, and installation. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work effectively on construction sites, collaborating with other professionals to ensure high-quality results.

Duties

• Operate concrete mixers and other power tools to prepare and pour concrete.
• Perform concrete forming tasks, including setting up forms for various structures.
• Install rebar and other reinforcement materials as needed.
• Execute concrete finishing techniques to achieve desired surface quality.
• Assist in hardscape projects, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Utilize hand tools for precise measurements and adjustments during construction.
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.
• Engage in renovation projects that may involve plastering, carpentry, or roofing tasks.
• Participate in masonry work, including bricklaying and block installation.
• Conduct heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely on-site.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project timelines.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction with a focus on concrete work is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with construction estimating practices is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Experience in various construction techniques such as framing, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing is advantageous.
• Knowledge of caulking, stucco application, flooring installation, tile laying, and welding is desirable.
• Must be physically fit to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly throughout the workday.
