Concrete Ready Mix Batch/Dispatcher

Summit Concrete Supply is a locally owned and operated ready mix concrete company in Akron, Ohio. We pride ourselves in reliability, teamwork, and delivering quality product on schedule. We are seeking a dependable and organized office personnel/batch/dispatcher to support daily operations and coordinate concrete deliveries.

Position Summary:

Concrete Batch/Dispatcher plays a key role in daily operations by scheduling concrete pours, dispatching drivers, and coordinating schedules with customers all while handling general office duties. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced construction environment. This individual will be responsible for answering multiple phone calls, (at times back to back calls), taking orders from contractors over the phone and dispatching/batching concrete via computerized order entry using a specific dispatch/batch software program. Prior dispatching/batching in the concrete industry is desired but not mandatory.

Requirements:

· Schedule and dispatch concrete trucks/drivers

· Coordinate daily and weekly pour schedules

· Communicate with customers, job sites and drivers

· Adjust schedules based on weather, job delays or equipment issues

· Answer phones and emails professionally and proficiently

· Prepare work orders, delivery tickets, and job schedules

· Enter and maintain job and delivery data

· File paperwork and maintain organized records

· Relay job changes clearly and promptly

· Resolve scheduling conflicts efficiently

· Able to utilize basic computer skills

Experience:

· Knowledge of concrete operations is preferred

· Experience with dispatch software is preferred but not required

· Language – English
