Job Summary
We are seeking a Concrete Superintendent to oversee all aspects of concrete construction projects. In this role, you will coordinate with customers, manage on-site operations, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-quality concrete work. Your expertise will drive project success from inception to completion. This position offers an opportunity to foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise concrete construction crews, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with project superintendents and subcontractors to facilitate workflow and resource allocation.
- Oversee quality control of materials and workmanship.
- Monitor job site safety protocols and conduct safety meetings as required.
- Ensure proper documentation of daily activities, change orders, and incident reports.
- Implement best practices for concrete construction to increase efficiency.
- Assist with project layout when necessary.
- Calculate and order materials such as stone, concrete, etc.
- Order and assist in the movement of company machinery, trailers, and other resources.
- Operate machinery when necessary.
- Assist with project scheduling.
- Coach employees on proper means and methods of concrete placement and finishing.
- Attend project related meetings when necessary.
- Assist with personnel and crew assignments.
Abilities
- Experience in supervision of concrete crews preferred.
- Experience in all facets of concrete construction including foundations, slabs, walls, pavement, curbs, ramps, sidewalks, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and civil plans.
- Ability to read and interpret survey stakes.
- Ability to use layout instruments (i.e. lasers) to set grade stakes, hubs, etc.
- Ability to set string line for curb machine preferred.
- Experience with Universal Total Station equipment preferred.
- Understanding of basic math formulas to calculate areas, quantities, slopes, etc.
- Ability to speak effectively in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
- Understanding of standard safety practices.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
