Description:
CPT is seeking a Configuration Manager IV to support the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) at NSWC Dahlgren. This role directly supports U.S. Navy gun weapon system development, evaluation, and sustainment programs in a collaborative, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead configuration management activities for E30 Gun Weapon Systems programs, overseeing compliance with CM plans and standards.

Manage evaluation of change documentation and development of impact assessments for complex configuration changes.

Ensure integrity and traceability of configurations across multiple program baselines and lifecycle phases.

Chair or support formal Change Control Boards for ECPs, SCNs, SCDs, Deviations, and Waivers.

Develop and maintain program CM plans, procedures, and process documentation.

Lead configuration audits (FCA/PCA) and coordinate findings resolution with engineering and program management teams.

Mentor junior configuration management staff and ensure consistent application of CM standards across the program.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience with at least 3 years specialized in configuration management.

Demonstrated experience leading CM activities for complex defense programs.

Expert knowledge of configuration management principles, methods, and DoD CM standards.

Experience managing Change Control Boards and overseeing ECP, SCN, and SCD processes.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Active Secret clearance required.
Desired Skills & Experience

Experience leading CM programs for Navy Gun Weapon Systems or comparable DoD weapon system programs.

In-depth familiarity with MIL-HDBK-61 and applicable military CM standards.

Experience with enterprise CM tools in a DoD acquisition environment.
