Description:
CPT is seeking a Configuration Manager V to support the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) at NSWC Dahlgren. This role directly supports U.S. Navy gun weapon system development, evaluation, and sustainment programs in a collaborative, mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as senior CM authority for E30 Gun Weapon Systems programs, providing expert guidance on all configuration management matters.

Oversee development and implementation of CM plans, procedures, and standards across the program portfolio.

Lead and manage formal Change Control Board processes for complex configuration changes, ECPs, SCNs, SCDs, Deviations, and Waivers.

Provide expert-level impact assessments and recommendations to government program leadership on configuration change proposals.

Lead configuration audits and baseline reviews; advise on corrective actions and risk mitigation strategies.

Interface directly with senior government stakeholders on CM status, issues, and strategic decisions.

Develop CM training and standards, mentoring all levels of CM staff across the program.
Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience, including extensive specialized experience in configuration management.

Expert-level knowledge of CM principles, DoD standards, and acquisition lifecycle CM requirements.

Demonstrated experience leading CM organizations and serving as a senior CM advisor to government leadership.

History of successfully managing Change Control Boards for complex, multi-baseline defense programs.

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Active Secret clearance required.
Desired Skills & Experience

Extensive experience supporting CM for Navy Gun Weapon Systems or major DoD acquisition programs.

Deep familiarity with MIL-HDBK-61 and related standards across the program lifecycle.
