POSITION SUMMARY
The Configuration Data Management / Maintenance Analyst will provide technical support to the IBCTPL Configuration Data Manager (CDM) for cutter class maintenance, configuration management, and logistics data activities. Work will be performed in accordance with the Configuration Management Process Guide, CGTO PG-85-00-670 Series. The role contributes to required deliverables, data quality, reporting, and performance metrics where applicable.
DUTIES
  • Support the IBCTPL CDM with cutter class maintenance and configuration management in accordance with CGTO PG-85-00-670 Series.
  • Develop and provide data to establish Configuration Item Functional Descriptions (CIFDs), select appropriate Configuration Items (CIs), maintain fleet configuration data, and populate platform system trees.
  • Analyze Engineering Changes (ECs) and construct Configuration Management sets to update cutter configuration upon EC implementation.
  • Develop and maintain Maintenance Standards (MS) and Maintenance Items (MIs) to ensure alignment between Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPCs) and Fleet Logistics System (FLS) data.
  • Maintain CIs within FLS to accurately reflect fleet maintenance requirements.
  • Validate Allowance Parts List (APL) data associated with MPCs.
  • Create associated MS upon MPC publication release.
  • Analyze and validate MPCs for tools/test equipment, expendables, and consumables, ensuring consistency with FLS MS and MI records.
  • Collect, input, edit, extract, consolidate, analyze, report, present, and maintain historical product line information.
  • Perform data analysis and trend forecasting using appropriate methods, which may include linear trend analysis, Weibull analysis, or other mathematical and analytical techniques.
  • Identify configuration, maintenance, or logistics data discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support deliverables, reports, tracking tools, and performance metrics related to configuration data, maintenance alignment, and fleet readiness.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in configuration management, maintenance analysis, logistics support, technical data management, fleet maintenance, or asset management systems.
  • Experience working with configuration data, maintenance records, engineering changes, technical documentation, or logistics databases.
  • Ability to analyze technical data, resolve inconsistencies, and present findings or recommended solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using databases, maintenance systems, logistics systems, or asset management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data accuracy.
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, engineering technology, logistics, maintenance management, data analytics, information systems, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting USCG, Navy, DoW, or federal logistics programs.
  • Familiarity with FLS, MPCs, MS, MIs, APLs, ECs, CIFDs, platform system trees, and USCG configuration management processes.
  • Experience with shipboard systems, cutter class maintenance, or product line logistics support.
