Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Accountant to join our financial team. This vital role combines expertise in construction project accounting with a strong foundation in corporate and governmental financial practices. The Construction Accountant will oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance with regulations, and timely reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects while utilizing advanced accounting software and financial concepts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, a proactive approach, and a passion for maintaining financial integrity across multiple construction initiatives.
Duties
· Manage all accounting transactions
· Prepare and process payroll, taxes, and state and federal reports.
· Perform month-end and year-end close process
· Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
· Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
· Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
· Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
· Providing strategic financial and taxation advice
· Liaising with banks and financial institutions regarding business funding
· Introducing and maintaining a company’s financial and accounting systems
· Documents and updates accounting procedures and policies as necessary
· Stay up to date with industry trends, rules, and regulations
· Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
· Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities at the same time
· Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance
· The ability to prepare, interpret and translate financial statements and insights
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of company financial information
· years experience as a CPA
· years experience as a CMA
· Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, finance or adjacent field
· Extensive knowledge of GAAP
· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
· Prior experience with QuickBooks

Pay: $72,821.70 - $87,699.25 per year
