Construction Accountant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Accountant to join our financial team. This vital role combines expertise in construction project accounting with a strong foundation in corporate and governmental financial practices. The Construction Accountant will oversee all financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance with regulations, and timely reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects while utilizing advanced accounting software and financial concepts. Duties

· Manage all accounting transactions

· Prepare and process payroll, taxes, and state and federal reports.

· Perform month-end and year-end close process

· Prepares periodic (monthly) balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements

· Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks

· Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.

· Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.

· Providing strategic financial and taxation advice

· Liaising with banks and financial institutions regarding business funding

· Introducing and maintaining a company’s financial and accounting systems

· Documents and updates accounting procedures and policies as necessary

· Stay up to date with industry trends, rules, and regulations

· Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

· Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities at the same time

· Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance

· The ability to prepare, interpret and translate financial statements and insights

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of company financial information

· years experience as a CPA

· years experience as a CMA

· Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting, finance or adjacent field

· Extensive knowledge of GAAP

· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

· Prior experience with QuickBooks

Pay: $72,821.70 - $87,699.25 per year
