Construction Accounting Associate

Job Overview:
Bottom Line Group is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Accounting Assistant to support the financial operations of our construction and development projects. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments, and supporting project teams with job cost tracking and budget management. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working cross-functionally with both accounting and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and review accounts payable and receivable transactions related to construction projects using accounting software, QuickBooks.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable related to construction projects
  • Review, code, and enter vendor and subcontractor invoices accurately
  • Assist with job cost tracking and ensure costs are properly allocated to projects / project manager receipt review and coding.
  • Reconcile invoices with purchase orders, contracts, and budgets
  • Support project managers with budget tracking and financial reporting
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation
  • Assist in preparing draw packages and lien releases as needed
  • Communicate with vendors and subcontractors regarding billing, discrepancies, and payment status
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices
  • Manage payroll data entry and coordinate with payroll processing

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in construction accounting or related field – Preferred
  • Basic understanding of job costing and construction financial processes – Required
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in Quickbooks - Required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple teams
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
