Duties
- Assist the Superintendent in coordinating daily construction activities, ensuring adherence to project schedules and specifications.
- Supervise subcontractors and labor crews on-site, providing guidance to maintain productivity and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress using construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, or HeavyBid; update schedules regularly.
- Conduct quality control inspections by reviewing blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to verify work meets design intent.
- Manage site safety by enforcing OSHA regulations and conducting safety meetings; respond promptly to any incidents or hazards.
- Assist in reviewing contracts, change orders, and project budgets; support cost control efforts through accurate documentation.
- Utilize tools like Ohmmeter for electrical testing and Bluebeam for document review to ensure technical accuracy throughout the project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Primavera P6, and Bluebeam; familiarity with Primavera is essential.
- Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, budgeting, and managing multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, construction estimating, and quality control procedures.
- Supervising experience with a focus on safety compliance aligned with OSHA standards.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining clear communication.
- Knowledge of construction contracts and experience working within pipeline or heavy civil construction environments.
- Technical skills including blueprint reading, use of Ohmmeter for electrical testing, and familiarity with construction site safety protocols.
