Construction Associate and Welder

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to lead our team with guidance of the company owner. The right candidate for this role will possess at least one year of welding experience (MIG or SMAW). The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of metal fabrication and welding processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. This role will be a steady mix of indoor and outdoor work. Travel will be limited to Waukesha County.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and work from blueprints and schematics to fabricate metal components.
• Utilize various welding techniques, including aluminum and steel MIG and SMAW (stick welding)
• Operate equipment such as fork lift, saws, and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Conduct precise measurements and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
• Must know how to drive a truck/trailer (non CDL)
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety standards at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding techniques.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with basic math skills for accurate measurements.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials, and working in various conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
