Construction Billing Administrator

Edwards, Inc. is a full-service industrial contractor whose services include crane rental, specialty fabrication, and construction. We are currently looking for a Construction Billing Administrator for our Spring Hope, NC office.

The candidate will based in our Spring Hope, NC office.

This job requires knowledge of a job cost accounting system in an industrial construction environment.

The candidate will:

  • Preform
    • Job set up and cost/phase code set up structure
    • change orders
    • retainage
    • job classifications
    • labor and markup
  • Be responsible for
    • Compiling construction division invoices
    • Standard accounts receivables
    • time and material invoices and documentation
    • AIA and progress billing
    • Lien releases
  • Be responsible of preforming reconciling of job cost transaction journals to billing values to ensure accuracy of revenue.
  • Support project managers and project engineers as instructed to meet billing requirements for job revenue and billing deadlines.
  • Maintain job files and documentation.
  • Use accounting and construction software, microsoft office.
  • Have a good understanding of exporting data from analytic inquiries to excel for reconciliation.
  • Be able to use bluebeam or adobe, an electronic filing system, and online supplier portals for invoice submission.
  • Required to backup and assist in other areas as needed when trained.

  • Requirements
    • Minimum 2-year Accounting Degree
    • Accounting background and experience
    • Excellent communication skills and commitment to safety
  • Additional Skills
    • Valid Driver's License
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access)
    • Eclipse - Construction Management Software
