Construction Billing & Change Order Specialist

Duties

• Process and verify billing transactions using construction accounting software and other financial tools.
• Manage and process change orders by reviewing contract modifications, ensuring proper documentation, and updating relevant financial records.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy between billing records and financial statements, including payroll and accounts payable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including accounting and project management to resolve billing discrepancies efficiently.
• Maintain data entry accuracy typing skills while adhering to confidentiality protocols.

Skills

• Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret construction costs.
• Effective negotiation skills coupled with outstanding phone etiquette for customer service interactions related to billing inquiries.
• Familiarity with construction billing practices (AIA G702 & G703).
• Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and process improvement in accounting settings.
