Job Summary
Responsible for managing all contractual, commercial, and legal aspects of high-rise building projects from pre-contract to close-out. Ensures compliance with UAE regulations, FIDIC standards, and project requirements while protecting the company’s financial and legal interests.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contract Drafting & Administration
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and subcontracts based on FIDIC and UAE standards.
- Ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of contract terms across all teams.
- Issue contractual notices and maintain documentation in line with project milestones.
2. Commercial & Cost Control
- Monitor budgets, BOQs, cost variations, and financial performance.
- Assess subcontractor agreements, change orders, and payment applications.
- Support value engineering, procurement, and contract optimization.
3. High-Rise Project Coordination
- Work with project managers, consultants, and site teams to ensure contractual compliance for high-rise works (G+20 and above).
- Review scope changes involving structural, MEP, façade, and fit-out works typical to towers.
4. Claims, Variations & Dispute Resolution
- Prepare and manage claims (EOT, prolongation, cost variation, delays).
- Coordinate with legal advisors on dispute avoidance and resolution.
- Maintain detailed records of notices, claims, and supporting documentation.
5. Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks related to high-rise construction.
- Ensure alignment with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, RERA, and Civil Defense requirements.
- Manage project bonds, guarantees, and insurances.
6. Stakeholder Communication
- Liaise with clients, developers, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Participate in technical and commercial meetings.
- Provide contractual guidance to project and site teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or Law (Master’s preferred).
- 7–12 years’ experience in contract management within high-rise building projects in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC, UAE construction law, and local authority requirements.
