Construction Electrical Project Engineer - Solar EPC

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Electrical Project Engineer to join our Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) team. In this pivotal role, you will lead electrical system design, oversee construction activities, and ensure project execution aligns with technical specifications, safety standards, and client expectations. Your expertise in electrical engineering and construction management will drive the successful delivery of large-scale solar projects, contributing to sustainable energy solutions worldwide. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all electrical aspects of solar EPC projects from initial design through commissioning, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
• Develop detailed construction schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or HeavyBid, integrating project milestones and resource allocations for seamless execution.
• Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and system design documents to facilitate accurate construction activities and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers to optimize system design and integration.
• Oversee construction site activities related to electrical systems, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), safety standards, and contractual requirements.
• Utilize tools such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project documentation, progress tracking, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and change management processes.
• Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality, troubleshoot issues promptly, and maintain detailed records of progress and deviations.
• Manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors related to electrical components, ensuring scope compliance and timely delivery.
• Facilitate effective project communication through regular meetings, progress reports, and coordination with stakeholders to keep projects on track.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction management or project engineering within solar EPC or similar renewable energy sectors.
• Strong background in electrical engineering with hands-on site experience in electrical system installation, schematic reading, and system design.
• Familiarity with construction estimating software such as HeavyBid; scheduling tools like Primavera P6; document management platforms including Bluebeam; and project management systems such as ProCore.
• Knowledge of NEC standards, electrical codes, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and contract administration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently through excellent time management skills in fast-paced environments.
• Experience coordinating large-scale construction projects involving complex electrical systems on active sites.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
