About the Job:
As an Estimator at Venture, you’ll play an essential role in generating and managing estimates for both current and potential projects. Working closely with project managers, you’ll provide estimates, budget control, and studies that guide our projects from the business development phase through pre-construction and into construction. This role spans all project scopes, systems, and assemblies, making it key to the success of Venture’s commercial and multi-family projects.
Compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $210,000
Duties & Responsibilities

Develop and maintain accurate pre-construction and construction estimates in collaboration with project managers

Lead lump sum and GMP project bidding processes and resolve technical details in the pre-construction phase

Build estimates grounded in design, constructability, logistics, and sequencing knowledge

Cultivate subcontractor relationships for estimating, bidding, and project awards

Prepare estimate presentations, budget control reports, and documentation for client presentations

Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs and maintain quantity controls across all disciplines, including civil, structural, finishes, mechanical, and electrical
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering with 5+ years in construction/estimating preferred, or an equivalent blend of education and experience

Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Construct Connect, ProEst, On-Screen, Bluebeam or similar), as well as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch-Up, and proficiency in MS Office Suite

Strong understanding of construction methods, processes, and management practices

Ability to interpret construction documents and apply them effectively to estimating

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal
-
Interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, from subcontractors to project teams and company leadership
