Job Overview

designBLD is a Northeastern Pennsylvania-based design and construction firm seeking an experienced, organized, and team-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have strong construction estimating experience, proficiency in estimating software, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects
• Review plans, specifications, and project documents to determine labor, material, and equipment costs
• Utilize construction estimating software to develop detailed bids and proposals
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Maintain organized bid documents, pricing records, and project data
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
• Assist with subcontractor/vendor negotiations and contract review
• Support project scheduling, budgeting, and overall project coordination

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience (more preferred)
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and project management
• Proficiency in construction estimating software
• Excellent organizational and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and communication abilities
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
