Construction Estimator – Water & Wastewater Infrastructure

A Colorado-based general contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to support its expanding portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Typical scopes of work include treatment facilities, pump stations, reservoirs, underground utilities, and related heavy civil construction.

This position requires a detail-oriented professional with proven estimating experience who can manage the full preconstruction process from initial review through final proposal. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate public and negotiated bid opportunities within the company’s areas of expertise.
  • Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to prepare accurate, competitive, and compliant proposals.
  • Perform comprehensive take-offs for civil, mechanical, and utility systems.
  • Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals.
  • Develop and assess labor, equipment, and material cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with project management to validate pricing, scheduling, and constructability considerations.
  • Prepare and finalize estimates and proposals in accordance with established deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Prior estimating experience in construction required; water/wastewater or heavy civil infrastructure preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex plans and technical specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of estimating software, spreadsheets, and cost-tracking systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to accuracy, accountability, and teamwork.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Full-time position based in Englewood, Colorado (Monday–Friday).
  • Salary range: $75,000 – $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Immediate availability.
