Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Estimator / Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimatig and construction management, with expertise in project planning, cost control, and contract negotiation. This role requires effective communication and leadership skills to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Duties

  • Lead and manage all aspects of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Prepare construction bids
  • Utilize construction estimating tools for accurate cost assessments.
  • Implement cost control measures to maintain project budgets and minimize expenses.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the process.
  • Utilize software such as Bluebeam for document management and collaboration.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of construction site operations and best practices.
  • Proficient in construction management principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent negotiation skills for effective contract management.
  • Experience with construction estimating software (e.g., HeavyBid) for accurate pricing.
  • Solid understanding of cost control techniques to manage project budgets effectively.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software for efficient workflow management.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
