Superintendent

Seeking Qualified Candidate to fill an open Construction Foreman role. Must be able to work high elevations, buildings over 10 stories, using swing stages, aerial man lifts and scaffolding. This is a hybrid role with performance of scopes of work required along side of management responsibilites.

  • MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AND RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION, clean background check required and pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must have experience managing and working on historial buildings.
  • Must have painting, caulking, building cleaning, masonry restoration including tuckpointing, stone work, waterproofing, epoxy injections, metal restoration, wood doors and wood window restoration required.
  • Must have swing stage, scaffolding and aerial boom lift experience on high-rise buildings.

+OSHA 30-hour card required.
+Power swing stage,scaffold and aerial lift certificates a PLUS.
+CPR & First Aid certification a PLUS.
+Lead Safety certification a PLUS.
+Experience working with metal (sheet metal, copper, etc.) beneficial.

The essential job functions or duties of this position are as follows:

  • Organizes, coordinates, and supervises the work of the craft employees and laborers on restoration/construction projects.
  • Determines work priorities and coordinates work activities within the design area and/or with others outside of the office.
  • Apportions work among employees according to abilities or specialized training, coordinates new construction, major remodeling, and restoration, which involves scheduling meetings and reviewing project documents (e.g. contracts, specifications, blueprints) as necessary, collaborates with administrators on the supervision of all work operations.
  • Keeps cost records on work performed, materials, and employee times.
  • Responsible for the control of costs in materials and wages exercises control over the rate of restoration/construction progress in order to complete restoration/construction project within time limits.
  • Schedules jobs and operations, estimates, and materials needed for specific jobs.
  • Leads inspection and commission of day-to-day restoration/construction work to enforce conformity to specifications supervises craft employees, and other personnel employed in construction work.
  • Acts as an adviser on job-related problems, and deals with individuals demanding information or service, such as agencies, department heads, or others.
  • Employee shall also perform such other duties as are customarily performed by other persons in similar such positions, as well as such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
