Position Overview
We are seeking a Hands‑On Construction Foreman who leads from the front and isn’t afraid to jump in on the tools. This role requires strong field leadership, the ability to work alongside the crew, and solid welding and fabrication experience to support structural, mechanical, and industrial construction tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly with the crew on daily construction, welding, and fabrication tasks
- Lead by example with strong craftsmanship, safety, and work ethic
- Perform welding and fabrication including structural steel, brackets, supports, and field modifications
- Interpret blueprints including structural, mechanical, and fabrication drawings
- Coordinate multiple trades such as steel erection, concrete, electrical, and mechanical
- Operate tools and equipment including welders, torches, grinders, lifts, and rigging gear
- Enforce OSHA and company safety standards through daily oversight and toolbox talks
- Inspect welds and fabricated components for quality, alignment, and compliance
- Manage materials and deliveries including steel, hardware, consumables, and welding supplies
- Communicate progress with project managers and leadership
- Solve field issues quickly to keep production moving
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands‑on construction experience
- 1–2 years in a foreman or lead‑hand role
- Proficient welding and fabrication skills (stick, MIG, cutting, grinding, fitting)
- Strong understanding of structural steel, rigging, and mechanical installation
- Ability to read and interpret construction and fabrication drawings
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
- Valid driver’s license
- DBIDS Badge
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
Preferred Experience
- Background in industrial or structural construction
- Experience with steel erection, overhead cranes, or mechanical equipment installation
- Welding certifications (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW)
- OSHA‑30 or equipment operator cards
