Construction Helper

Job Summary
Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Helper, where your energy and dedication will help bring projects to life! In this vital role, you will support skilled tradespeople by performing a variety of physical tasks essential to our manufacturing site. Your hands-on work will involve assisting with the installation of structural elements, handling tools and equipment, and ensuring safety and efficiency on site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across multiple construction disciplines while contributing to high-quality projects from start to finish.

Duties

• Assist with the installation of drywall, framing, insulation and other structural components using hand tools and power tools
• Operate heavy equipment and machinery such as mixers, pumps, and forklifts safely and efficiently
• Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials for daily tasks
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and assist with layout work
• Perform heavy lifting of materials like lumber, pipes, and steel components to facilitate construction progress
• Qualifications
• Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades is highly preferred
• Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus for understanding project scope
• Skills in concrete finishing, framing (including metal stud framing), roofing, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, flooring installation, tile laying, masonry, welding, and stucco are desirable
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking on uneven surfaces
• Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment is advantageous

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
