Construction Laboratory Technician

• TSI Laboratories, is seeking a Construction Materials Lab Technician to join our Victoria, TX office. As a technician, you will perform a variety of testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Responsibilities

Required Skills

• Soils Certification
• Hot Mix/Asphalt Certification
• ACI/American concrete institute certification.

Required Experience

Soils testing, proctors, Atterberg limits, sieve analysis, LA Abrasion, Wet Ball mill test, soluble salts testing.

Hot Mix/Asphalt

Rice, Hamburg/biscuit wheel test, specific gravity, oven burn off.

Aggregate Testing: sieve analysis, specific gravity, -200 testing etc.

• Responsibilities
• Receive and log concrete and soil samples
• Performs and understand various laboratory test procedures
• Assist in AMRL and CCRL (regulatory standards) assessments
• Assist with TSI, Quality system for the laboratory
• Enter and understand lab data
• Other miscellaneous laboratory tasks as assigned
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record
• The ability to lift 50-75+ pounds
