Construction Laborer

Duties

• Assist with heavy lifting and material handling to support various construction tasks across the site
• Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively for tasks such as framing, drywall installation, or masonry work
• Prepare and set up construction sites by installing formwork, rebar, or scaffolding as needed
• Support concrete pouring, finishing, and pumping operations to ensure smooth and durable surfaces
• Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and execute tasks accurately
• Perform demolition, renovation, or restoration activities while maintaining safety protocols
• Assist with metal stud framing, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and other specialized trades as directed
• Support heavy equipment operation and site cleanup to maintain a safe working environment

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge to operate tools and equipment efficiently
• Construction estimating skills for understanding project scope and materials needed (nice-to-have)
• Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, finishing, and concrete pumping techniques
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for precise task execution
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery safely
• Familiarity with masonry, carpentry—including trim carpentry—and roofing techniques
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper body mechanics
• Experience with metal stud framing, drywall installation, plastering, caulking, and stucco applications
• Skills in tile laying, flooring installation, welding, and masonry work (preferred)
• Valid commercial driving license for transportation needs (preferred)
• Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
