General Laborer – Restoration & Site Work

Position Overview

A growing heavy civil construction company is seeking reliable General Laborers to support restoration and site work operations on infrastructure projects in and around Milton, Vermont. Work includes supporting underground utility projects, restoring residential properties, and assisting crews with daily construction and cleanup activities.

The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site restoration and cleanup following excavation work
• Support grading, landscaping, and surface preparation activities
• Restore residential yards, driveways, sidewalks, and disturbed areas
• Spread topsoil, gravel, and other restoration materials
• Perform general labor tasks and assist equipment operators as needed
• Maintain clean and safe jobsites
• Follow company safety procedures and project guidelines
• Work professionally around residential homeowners and active job sites

Qualifications

• Previous construction or general labor experience preferred
• Experience with landscaping, paving, demolition, or site cleanup is a plus
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to work well with a crew and follow directions
• OSHA certification is a plus
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Pay: $25.40 – $27 per hour
• Effective Wage: Approximately $37 – $40+ per hour depending on benefits selected
• Davis-Bacon prevailing wages may apply
• Overtime opportunities available

Work Location

Milton, Vermont and surrounding areas. Daily commuting required.

Pay: $25.51 - $30.72 per hour
