Construction Lead

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Lead to oversee and coordinate all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a proactive leader with a passion for building excellence, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. As a Construction Lead, you will manage teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and utilize software to drive project success. Your expertise will help shape the future of our construction initiatives while maintaining safety, efficiency, and budget integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise construction teams on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
• Develop detailed project schedules to monitor progress and adjust timelines proactively.
• Oversee procurement processes, including reviewing contracts and managing subcontractor relationships to ensure quality and compliance.
• Utilize SketchUp and other construction management software for plan review, markup, and document control to facilitate seamless communication among stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control, safety compliance (OSHA standards), and adherence to schematics and blueprints.
• Coordinate with project managers on budgeting, cost control, and resource allocation using HeavyBid or equivalent estimating tools.
• Manage project documentation such as contracts, change orders, RFIs (Request for Information), and daily reports to maintain transparency and accountability.
• Oversee safety protocols on-site by conducting safety meetings, inspections, and ensuring OSHA standards are met at all times.
• Supervise subcontractors and construction personnel, providing clear guidance on project expectations while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Use tools like ohmmeter for electrical testing when required during construction phases involving electrical systems or pipelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects within the heavy civil or pipeline sectors.
• Extensive knowledge of construction site operations, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques.
• Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, management of budgets, contracts negotiation, and quality assurance processes.
• Strong leadership skills with prior supervising experience leading diverse teams on complex projects.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety best practices in construction environments.
• Hands-on experience with construction site activities including use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing or similar equipment.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
