Key Responsibilities:
- Project Logistics Planning
- Prepare and implement a comprehensive Project Logistics Plan in coordination with the Project Director and Central Logistics Department.
- Define material flow routes, storage zones, access gates, loading/unloading areas, and waste collection points.
- Plan and maintain a site layout for optimum space utilization and safe movement of materials, equipment, and personnel.
- Material Management
- Oversee material receiving, gate pass control, loading/unloading, stacking, storage, and issuance as per project requirements.
- Ensure proper segregation, sorting, and bundling of materials, especially rented scaffolding items and temporary materials.
- Coordinate with the civil team for timely delivery of rebar and other materials to match project schedules.
- Monitor scrap accumulation, maintain records, and coordinate with the Central PMV/Waste Department for disposal or sale.
- Ensure material traceability, minimize loss/damage, and enforce FIFO principles where applicable.
- Scaffolding & Temporary Works
- Supervise handling, inspection, bundling, and return of scaffolding materials to vendors or central yard.
- Verify scaffold material compliance with safety standards before issue to site.
- Waste Management
- Strategically implement the Waste Management Plan in alignment with company sustainability goals.
- Identify and segregate recyclable, reusable, and scrap materials.
- Coordinate removal and safe disposal of construction waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
- Coordination & Control
- Liaise with Procurement, PMV, QA/QC, and Construction teams to align logistics operations with project timelines.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly logistics and waste management reports.
- Support in cost monitoring, manpower planning, and resource allocation related to logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
- People & Resource Management
- Supervise the site logistics team, equipment operators, and material handlers.
- Ensure staff are trained and adhere to company logistics and HSE procedures.
- Review vendor performance related to rental equipment and material supply.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Construction / Logistics Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in construction logistics and material management within large-scale civil or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of site planning, material flow, scaffolding, waste management, and equipment coordination.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD (for site layout), and project tracking tools.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
