The Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing, managing, and coordinating all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and effective communication with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage daily construction activities in line with project schedules and budgets.
- Lead and supervise site teams, subcontractors, and labor workforce to ensure productivity and compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular site reports for management.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals in coordination with the project team.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve technical and site issues.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor quality control and ensure compliance with approved standards.
- Manage procurement and timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Control and report project costs, identifying potential risks and delays early.
- Support claims and variation orders with proper documentation when required.
- Ensure close-out, handover, and documentation are properly completed at project completion.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or related field.
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in construction management.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale civil/infrastructure or building projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, and scheduling (Primavera P6/MS Project).
- Excellent leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with UAE construction codes, regulations, and authority requirements.
