We are looking for a "Construction Manager" for our company's project in the İstanbul location, operating in the Energy, Technology and Engineering sector.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Minimum 10 years of proven experience in field construction management, preferably in large-scale industrial, energy, or infrastructure projects

Extensive knowledge of construction drawings, technical specifications, and contract documents
-
Strong command of project planning, scheduling, and workface coordination
-
Hands-on experience with Primavera P6, MS Project, and AutoCAD
-
Advanced understanding of site logistics, heavy lifting, rigging operations, and equipment utilization
-
Experience in handling Field Instructions (FIs), Variation Orders, and back charge processes
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
-
Proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary teams including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
-
Deep familiarity with HSE standards and the ability to enforce safety policies on site
-
Excellent communication, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills in a fast-paced site environment
-
Ability to manage day-to-day challenges at the workface while ensuring alignment with project milestones
-
Strong analytical thinking, detail orientation, and a proactive approach to problem solving
-
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project demands

Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Willing and able to travel without restrictions
JOB DESCRIPTION

Reviews relevant drawings and contractual documents to fully understand the scope of work and the construction contract philosophy
-
Analyzes material take-off data, manual man-hour estimates, and associated histograms developed during the pre-construction planning phase; revises and updates this information as necessary

Organizes and supervises the work of engineers either on-site or in designated off-site facilities
-
Implements and monitors the Temporary Facilities Plan

Coordinates and participates in the induction of subcontractor supervisory staff and manual workforce, in collaboration with the Health and Safety Engineer
-
Ensures effective communication of the project schedule to subcontractors; reviews their detailed work plans and monitors actual progress in the field; supports the development and markup of project schedules

Maintains a strong on-site presence and supports team members with daily problem-solving
-
Plans and mitigates potential workface clashes between subcontractors, and establishes priorities in response to unexpected situations
-
Reviews subcontractors’ transportation, rigging, and heavy lifting plans; ensures optimal and cost-effective use of construction equipment
-
Coordinates daily site logistics and works closely with the Materials Control Group to ensure timely delivery of free-issue materials to subcontractors
-
Approves or delegates approval of Field Instructions, and assists in preparing Variation Orders and Back Charges
-
Collaborates with engineers, QC inspectors, and subcontract administrators to meet schedule, quality, and cost objectives

Contributes to the work measurement system and progress tracking

Prepares field reports as requested by the Site Manager

Supports the Site Manager in project execution

Actively promotes the contractor’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, plans, and procedures
