Job Description: Construction Manager

Workplace: Al-Jouf & Qassim


Overview

A Construction Manager oversees and directs construction projects from conception to completion. They ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and within budget while coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Develop project plans, schedules, and work timelines.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Review project drawings and specifications for accuracy.
  • Determine resource needs (labor, materials, equipment).
  • Forecast look ahead planning


Budget & Cost Control

  • Prepare cost estimates and participate in budgeting.
  • Track expenses and approve invoices and change orders.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.


Site Management

  • Oversee daily construction activities on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
  • Manage subcontractors and labor crews.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.


Risk & Safety Management

  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Investigate and report accidents or incidents.


Communication & Reporting

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular progress updates and written reports.
  • Lead project meetings and resolve conflicts.


Quality Assurance

  • Ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Perform final walkthroughs and manage punch lists.
  • Approve final project deliverables and closeout documentation.


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–10 years of construction or project management experience.


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Deep understanding of construction methods, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.


Certifications (Preferred)

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • CCM (Certified Construction Manager)
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification


Work Environment

  • Combination of office and on-site work.
  • Exposure to weather, construction noise, and site hazards when on-site.
  • Typical full-time schedule with potential extended hours during critical phases.
