Job Summary

Construction Manager is responsible for managing and supervising construction activities on behalf of the client to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with approved designs, contract conditions, specifications, quality standards, budget, and schedule. The role provides leadership to site supervision teams, coordinates with contractors and stakeholders, and ensures effective control of construction execution and risk.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise construction works on site in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Lead resident engineers, inspectors, and site supervision teams to ensure effective site control and performance.
  • Act as the primary interface between the client, contractors, and project stakeholders during the construction phase.
  • Review and approve contractors’ method statements, work programs, and resource plans.
  • Ensure implementation of quality control procedures and compliance with approved Quality Management Systems.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements and client policies.
  • Monitor construction progress against approved schedules and report delays and deviations.
  • Coordinate with planning and technical office teams to support mitigation and recovery plans.
  • Support evaluation of variations, claims, and change orders from a construction perspective.
  • Resolve site technical issues and coordinate design clarifications, shop drawings, and material submittals.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, handover, and completion of project close-out documentation.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering.
  • 10+ years of total experience, including at least 5 years in a similar site-based Project Management role with a consulting engineering firm.
  • Proven track record in delivering 5-star hotel or hospitality projects, including coordination of high-end finishes, MEP integration, and operator requirements.
  • Excellent understanding of hotel construction standards and international hospitality brand specifications.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Primavera (P6), AutoCAD, and other project management tools.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
