Role Overview:
As a Construction Manager, you will oversee all field operations for industrial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will lead site teams, coordinate multiple trades, and maintain high standards of quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and manage all on-site construction activities
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and industry regulations
- Coordinate subcontractors, craft professionals, and suppliers
- Monitor project progress and resolve field issues promptly
- Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation
- Collaborate with Project Managers on scheduling and cost control
- Conduct site meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders
- Enforce quality standards and verify work against specifications
- Manage labor planning and resource allocation
Qualifications Required:
- 5+ years of experience in industrial construction field management
- Strong knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, and piping systems
- Proven ability to lead large crews and multiple subcontractors
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
Preferred:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Experience in pulp and paper industry projects
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 scheduling
- OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training
- Knowledge of lean construction principles
