Construction Manager

Job Vacancy: Construction Manager

Project Type: High-Rise / Building Construction

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee ongoing high-rise building projects in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive site management experience, and in-depth knowledge of UAE construction regulations and authority requirements.

1) Project Execution & Site Management (Core Responsibility)

• Lead overall construction activities on site
• Ensure projects are delivered according to:

o Approved drawings and specifications
o Project schedule and milestones
o Budget constraints

• Monitor daily site progress and productivity

2) Planning & Programme Control

• Develop and monitor:

o Project timelines
o Lookahead schedules
o Resource allocation plans

• Identify delays and implement corrective actions
• Coordinate with planning engineers to maintain progress

3) Site Coordination

• Coordinate with:

o Project managers
o Site engineers
o QA/QC and HSE teams
o Subcontractors

• Resolve:

o Site conflicts
o Operational challenges
o Interface issues between trades

4) Subcontractor & Workforce Management

• Manage and supervise subcontractors on site
• Ensure:

o Work is executed as per contract and specifications
o Adequate manpower and resources are deployed

• Evaluate subcontractor performance

5) Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all works comply with:

o Project specifications
o Local authority regulations
o QA/QC standards

• Coordinate inspections and approvals
• Address non-conformances promptly

6) Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

• Enforce strict adherence to HSE policies
• Conduct regular site safety inspections
• Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel
• Promote safety awareness across site teams

7) Consultant & Client Coordination

• Act as the primary site representative
• Attend meetings with:

o Clients
o Consultants

• Provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions
• Ensure client satisfaction and project alignment

8) Cost Control & Variations

• Monitor project costs and resource utilization
• Identify:

o Variations
o Additional works
o Potential claims

• Coordinate with commercial team on cost impact and reporting

9) Material & Logistics Management

• Oversee material deliveries and storage
• Ensure timely availability of materials for execution
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams

10) Team Leadership

• Lead and motivate site teams
• Supervise engineers, supervisors, and foremen
• Ensure clear communication and task allocation
• Maintain high performance and accountability standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in high-rise construction projects in the UAE
• Strong knowledge of local authority regulations and construction standards
• Proven leadership and project management skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
