The Construction Manager oversees the company's construction department, including managing personnel and schedules, coordinating subcontractor schedules, ordering materials, meeting with potential and current clients, and ensuring quality control across projects. The ideal candidate will possess robust leadership skills and a thorough understanding of construction, project management, and safety compliance.
Duties
- Supervise and oversee all phases of multiple projects concurrently.
- Coordinate the schedules of construction crews and staff, as well as subcontractors.
- Monitor adherence to safety standards.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering materials from various vendors.
- Implement policies and procedures that enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Conduct performance evaluations for staff, offering feedback and guidance for professional development.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among clients, subcontractors, and internal personnel.
- Address and resolve issues that may arise during project execution and communication with clients.
- Provide regular updates on project progress to management, staff, and clients.
- Communicate effectively with potential and current clients regarding construction projects.
- Creates and reviews requests for information and requests for proposal and change orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Strong grasp of project management principles and methodologies.
- Proven experience in the construction industry; experience with pools is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks.
- Proficiency in relevant software and systems.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience.
