JOB PURPOSE:
Focus on
Project Management
and
Operations
to oversee and lead construction projects. Responsible for both strategic and operational aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Team Management

Develop and implement a strategic manpower plan: Forecast labor needs based on project phases, timelines, and scope, ensuring a balanced approach to staffing and resource allocation

Design the team structure: Align the construction team’s roles with project requirements, ensuring that all skills and expertise are available for each stage of the project

Optimize workforce productivity: Implement strategies to increase employee efficiency, monitor performance, and identify areas for training and improvement
Project Strategy & Risk Management :
Develop long-term strategic goals for the projects, aligning them with the company’s vision and objectives

Identify potential risks (financial, safety, scheduling) and develop mitigation plans to prevent project delays or cost overruns

Ensure compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations, incorporating sustainable practices where applicable

Collaborate with senior leadership to assess and adjust project strategies, budgets, and resources as needed to meet changing client requirements or market conditions
Functional Responsibilities
Project Management:
Lead project execution: Oversee the daily operations of construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within scope, and on budget

Develop and monitor project plans: Create detailed timelines, budgets, and resource allocations. Adjust plans based on progress and unforeseen challenges

Manage procurement and logistics: Coordinate the acquisition of materials, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruption to project timelines

Ensure adherence to quality standards: Monitor work quality and compliance with design specifications, building codes, and client expectations

Client relations and reporting: Maintain ongoing communication with clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns
Operations Management

Supervise daily on-site operations: Oversee construction activities, ensuring smooth coordination of all stakeholders and teams on-site

Implement operational best practices: Streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and increase overall project efficiency

Maintain compliance with safety protocols: Ensure that all safety standards and guidelines are followed on-site to protect workers and meet regulatory requirements

Troubleshoot operational challenges: Address issues such as labor shortages, material delays, or unforeseen project complications, and develop solutions to keep the project moving forward.

Track and manage project costs: Monitor budgets, expenses, and forecasts, adjusting operational strategies to stay within financial limits
Team Management Responsibilities

EXPERIENCE AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIREMENT Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on project management and operations.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
