Construction Manager (Civil)

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
  • Lead and manage civil construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination:
  • Supervise and direct project staff, including engineers, construction workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, discuss issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Budget and Cost Control:
  • Oversee project budgets, including estimating costs, reviewing invoices, and ensuring cost control throughout the construction process.
  • Identify and resolve any budget discrepancies or cost overruns.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all work is completed according to engineering specifications, local codes, and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure construction quality, safety, and compliance with regulations.
  • Review and approve all plans, designs, and change orders before implementation.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures on-site.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained before construction begins.
  • Monitor site safety and address any safety issues to minimize accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations:
  • Maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on project status, milestones, and any challenges or delays.
  • Resolve any disputes or issues that arise between stakeholders.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks to the project, such as delays, budget constraints, or regulatory issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the management of construction-related risks, including delays, resource shortages, and unexpected site conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 15-18 years of experience in civil construction management or a similar role in the UAE.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED20,000.00 per month

Experience:

  • Construction Manager in the UAE: 7 years (Preferred)
