Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Construction Manager – Civil
to lead and manage the civil construction activities of utility-scale solar power projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects, particularly in solar power.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all civil construction activities at the solar project site, including land development, grading, roads, foundations, drainage, fencing, and other related infrastructure.

Coordinate with design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure timely and cost-effective implementation.

Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to quality, safety, timelines, and budget.

Ensure compliance with engineering design, specifications, and regulatory standards.

Monitor daily site progress and maintain accurate records of construction activities.

Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders as required.

Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols across the construction site.

Resolve site issues and constraints efficiently and escalate matters where necessary.

Provide regular reports to senior management on project status, risks, and progress.

Ensure timely completion of civil milestones in line with overall project schedule.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

Minimum 8–12 years of experience in renewable energy projects.

Strong knowledge of civil engineering standards, construction methods, and project execution best practices.

Hands-on experience in managing large EPC contractors and multi-disciplinary teams.

Familiarity with solar project layouts, foundations (pile/pedestal), roads, drainage, and substation civil works.

Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and reporting software.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Willingness to work at remote project locations.
Preferred Skills

PMP or equivalent project management certification.

Experience with solar tracker systems, BESS integration, or hybrid renewable projects.

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and civil design review.
