Construction Manager - Civil

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager – Civil to lead and manage the civil construction activities of utility-scale solar power projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure or renewable energy projects, particularly in solar power.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all civil construction activities at the solar project site, including land development, grading, roads, foundations, drainage, fencing, and other related infrastructure.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure timely and cost-effective implementation.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure adherence to quality, safety, timelines, and budget.
• Ensure compliance with engineering design, specifications, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor daily site progress and maintain accurate records of construction activities.
• Liaise with local authorities, consultants, and stakeholders as required.
• Implement and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols across the construction site.
• Resolve site issues and constraints efficiently and escalate matters where necessary.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on project status, risks, and progress.
• Ensure timely completion of civil milestones in line with overall project schedule.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering standards, construction methods, and project execution best practices.
• Hands-on experience in managing large EPC contractors and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with solar project layouts, foundations (pile/pedestal), roads, drainage, and substation civil works.
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera) and reporting software.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work at remote project locations.
  
  

Preferred Skills

• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Experience with solar tracker systems, BESS integration, or hybrid renewable projects.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and civil design review.
