As Construction Manager, you will build the foundation that allows our Project Managers and field teams to execute with precision. You will ensure that every project entering production is clearly defined, accurately estimated, scheduled realistically, and documented thoroughly inside our construction management system.

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction & Estimating

Develop detailed scopes of work, takeoffs, and labor/material budgets for residential remodels.

Collaborate with designers and clients to clarify intent, identify gaps, and prevent downstream rework.

Solicit, evaluate, and organize subcontractor bids; ensure alignment with drawings, specifications, and budgets.

Build project estimates that reflect realistic sequencing, contingencies, and feasibility considerations.
Project Planning & Coordination

Create master project schedules, procurement schedules, and milestone plans using our construction software.

Prepare handoff packages for Project Managers, ensuring they receive clean, accurate, and actionable information.

Coordinate early-stage communication with trade partners to confirm availability, lead times, and job readiness.

Maintain and update project documentation - drawings, revisions, selections, change orders, and vendor commitments.
Operational Support During Construction

Assist PMs with schedule adjustments, procurement needs, RFI resolution, and trade coordination.

Ensure field teams have the information they need before they need it (materials, details, sub arrival times, etc.).

Track budget performance against estimates and identify potential cost exposures early.

Support quality control by verifying constructability issues and updating documents accordingly.
Systems, Process & Communication

Maintain disciplined use of construction management software (Buildertrend, Procore, or similar).

Improve templates, workflows, and checklists to increase efficiency and reduce errors.

Communicate with clarity across teams - design, trades, clients, and leadership - ensuring alignment on next steps.
Qualifications

3-5+ years of experience in residential construction estimating, coordination, planning, or project engineering.

Strong understanding of residential remodeling, building assemblies, and construction methods.

Proven ability to prepare accurate takeoffs, budgets, and project scopes.

Experience reading architectural, structural, and MEP drawings with high accuracy.

Proficiency with construction software (Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, Bluebeam, Excel).

Strong organizational skills - able to manage multiple projects and keep information meticulously documented.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a service-minded approach.

Ability to work collaboratively with PMs, designers, and field teams.

Valid driver's license for occasional job site visits.
Carpentry or field experience is a plus, but this is primarily an office/coordination role.
