Construction Manager – High-Rise Building

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Job Purpose

Oversee and manage all construction activities for high-rise building projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Coordination
  • Develop construction schedules, milestones, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Monitor progress and resolve site issues proactively.
  • Site Supervision
  • Lead site teams (engineers, supervisors, foremen).
  • Ensure daily construction activities follow approved drawings and method statements.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and site inspections.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance
  • Enforce UAE safety standards and company HSE policies.
  • Ensure quality control across all trades.
  • Coordinate inspections with authorities and consultants.
  • Cost & Resource Management
  • Monitor budgets, manpower, materials, and equipment usage.
  • Approve material requests and work permits.
  • Review subcontractor performance and claims.
  • Stakeholder Communication
  • Attend progress meetings with clients and consultants.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly progress reports.
  • Support contract and variation discussions.
  • Regulatory & Documentation
  • Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality and other local authorities.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and method statements.
  • Maintain site records and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 10–15 years total experience, with minimum 7 years in high-rise building projects.
  • Proven track record in tower construction (20+ storeys preferred) in the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes and authority approvals.
  • Experience with FIDIC contracts is an advantage.
