We require a highly competent Construction Manager at Al-Sadi Trading Group and or any of its subsidiaries, that will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of utility-scale solar PV and hybrid power projects (including BESS integration) from pre-construction through commissioning, handover and operations and maintenance. This role is responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to technical specifications and quality standards. The Construction Manager will lead site-based teams, coordinate with engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers, and serve as the key liaison between the head office and the construction site. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing large-scale solar or renewable energy projects, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a deep understanding of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) project delivery. This role requires a proactive approach to problem solving and a strong understanding of the products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Mobilization: Develop detailed construction execution plans, schedules, and logistics for utility-scale solar and hybrid projects. Participate in project meetings and contribute to constructability reviews during the engineering phase. Assess site conditions, including but not limited to geotechnical studies, topography, hydrology studies, access, soil, and logistics, to identify risks and propose mitigation measures. Lead the mobilization of manpower, equipment, and materials to site.

2. Construction Management & Execution: Oversee all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with design, safety, and quality standards. Supervise and coordinate the work of site engineers, subcontractors, and construction crews. Monitor project progress against schedules, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions. Ensure adherence to project technical specifications, drawings, and standards (IEC, NEC, etc.). Manage installation of PV modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, balance of plant (BOP), and BESS systems where applicable.

3. Coordination & Reporting: Serve as the primary point of contact between the site and project management team. Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, logistics, and finance departments to ensure timely delivery of project materials and payments. Prepare and submit detailed weekly and monthly progress reports, including project milestones, resource utilization, and risk assessments. Participate in progress meetings with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Resource & Subcontractor Management: Manage and evaluate subcontractor performance, rather than a subcontractor, the Construction manager is responsible for evaluating their performance including progress, safety and quality. Verify quantities and approve progress claims for subcontractors. Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project goals.

5. Budget & Cost Control: Work closely with the project management team to monitor construction costs and maintain budgetary control. Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising safety or quality. Support procurement by providing input on vendor selection, technical evaluation, and logistics planning.

6. Documentation & Handover: Ensure all construction documentation is properly maintained, including as-built drawings, inspection reports, and test certificates. Support final acceptance, punch-list closure, and project handover to the client or operations team.
