Construction Materials Laboratory Technician (Entry Level)

Carlson Testing, Inc. (CTI), is currently looking to fill a position for a Lab Technician in our Bend, Oregon office. We are seeking individuals with preferably 1 or more years of related experience; however, we are willing to train the right candidate. If you are technical, enjoy working with your hands and brain, have a strong work ethic and cooperate with clients and coworkers, this is the position for you. This is an entry level position and if you are driven, there is room for growth down several career paths and earning potential.

As a Lab Technician, you would be responsible for following standardized testing procedures to test construction materials such as concrete, soils, aggregates and asphalt.

You’re Responsibilities:

- Maintain and calibrate/verify testing equipment

- Adhere to ASTM, AASHTO and DOT testing standards

- Ensure that project testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Valid driver’s license and personal transportation required.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Must possess basic math skills.

- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly
