Construction Price Analyst

SSU is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Price Analyst to join our team and work in our corporate office in Fayetteville, N.C (this is not a remote position). Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction process, excellent mathematical skills, and the ability to negotiate contracts effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Construction Price Analyst will be responsible for determining the total cost of construction projects and conduct thorough research, analyzing data, and interpreting plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.

• Interpret and review architectural drawings, plans, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits and gather all necessary data to assist with the preparation of estimates.
• Prepare and submit financial documents including budgets, bids, and contracts.
• Consult with personnel and contractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
• Maintain a database of costrelated information such as subcontractor quotes, material costs, and labor rates.
• Prepare and present cost reports and forecasts to project managers and stakeholders.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and new materials in the market that could affect costs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Consult with clients, vendors, and personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Present prepared estimates for use by management in planning and organizing project budgets.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Use computer software to calculate estimates and evaluate a project’s financial feasibility.

Qualifications:

• Experience in providing briefings and presentations to all level of employees and senior management.
• Three (3) plus years of experience in developing cost models and cost trend analysis.
• Experience in developing and managing databases.
• High level communication skills.
• Experience with contract management.
• Three (3) plus years’ experience with pricing / cost analysis.
• Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field.
• Experience within the DoD/Federal Government Industry is preferred.
