Role and Responsibilities
The primary role of the Project Engineer / Manager is to assist the principle company representative responsible for the administration and execution of each commercial project. In this role the, Project Engineer / Manager coordinates, and controls the project schedule, document flow, budgeting, project team coordination, and quality control of installations.
Qualifications
- We are looking for a rock-solid leader in the Commercial Flooring industry
- On-Screen Takeoff Proficiency (OnCenter Software) And/Or Planswift Software, Bluebeam, or equivalent drawing review software
- Extensive Excel Knowledge
- 3+ Years Experience in Commercial Flooring Construction as a Project Engineer, Manager, OR Estimator
- Background with diverse unique commercial projects
- Self-motivated attitude, teachable mentality, and coachable spirit
- Assist with ordering and tracking material
- Present oneself as a knowledgeable professional to the internal and external customer
- Ability to do pre-job walks. Review items to include: substrate inspection and evaluation, jobsite conditions and accessibility, material storage
- On-going project management to include: Safety, material delivery, installer issues, customer concerns, daily reports, etc
- Inspect defective material on job site
- Submit written inspection reports on all jobs where required
- Help coordinate deliveries of material/sundries to job site in order to meet project schedule
- Post inspection including: punch lists and other close out activities
- Track & assist with bid invites from General Contractors
- Contact vendors for sample orders or place new orders
- Request pricing for current bids
- Reading & comprehension of architectural & interior design blueprints
- Track material orders
- Prepare and coordinate schedules for projects
- Communication and coordination with General Contractors regarding active jobs.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft word, excel & outlook
- Proficient with takeoff software
- Create proposals, RFIs, change orders and various project documentations.

- Able to multi-task and easily adjust to different needs / tasks
- Able to work proficiently with computers and software application
- Intermediate knowledge of Windows/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/Word.
Pay Range: $85K-$145K.
