Construction Project Estimator

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Project Estimator to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing comprehensive estimates, and collaborating with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction cost estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project scope documents using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information and negotiate competitive bids.
• Review project plans and specifications thoroughly to identify potential risks, cost-saving opportunities, and scope clarifications.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include pricing, labor estimates, material costs, and schedule considerations.
• Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor quotes and negotiate contracts to ensure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and provide recommendations for cost control measures during construction planning.
• Support project management teams by providing accurate estimates that align with project timelines, resources, and client expectations.

Skills

• Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and contract terms with vendors and subcontractors.
• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, site conditions, and construction management principles.
• Excellent understanding of cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget management within construction projects.
• Hands-on experience with construction site operations and familiarity with contracts and legal considerations in construction projects.
• Effective project management skills to coordinate multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
