Construction Project Head – Job Description

Job Title: Construction Project Head
Department: Projects / Operations
Location: Mysuru

About the Role

The Construction Project Head will lead, manage, and oversee the execution of construction projects from planning to completion. This role involves coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & Execution

  • Lead the overall planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects.
  • Define project scope, goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and approve project plans, drawings, and technical documents.

Site & Construction Management

  • Oversee on-site activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with standards.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor daily progress and ensure adherence to work schedules.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical or operational issues.

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, BOQs, and cost estimates.
  • Track expenditures and ensure cost efficiency.
  • Approve vendor bills, material reconciliation, and cost reports.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and guide project engineers, supervisors, and labor teams.
  • Conduct team meetings, assign tasks, and review performance.
  • Ensure smooth communication and collaboration across teams.

Client & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Attend client meetings and provide project progress updates.
  • Resolve client concerns and ensure satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders (architects, consultants, contractors).

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all activities comply with statutory regulations, safety norms, and quality standards.
  • Implement safety protocols and conduct toolbox talks.
  • Address risks and ensure corrective measures.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Managment.
  • 5+ years of experience (or as per your requirement) in managing construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools, construction methods, materials, and codes.
  • Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, and standard project reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle large teams and complex site operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
