**As the Construction Inspector/Senior Engineer Technician for Public Works Roads, you will:**

**Be the eyes and ears of quality assurance**�on diverse construction projects, ensuring every improvement meets the highest standards through hands-on inspection of construction projects.

**Lead complex multi-stakeholder coordination**�on active construction sites, managing relationships between public and private utilities, contractors, other county departments, residents, and the general public to ensure seamless project delivery.

**Take ownership of project documentation and compliance**�creating the official record of construction progress through daily tracking, progress photography, and detailed quality assurance documentation that protects public investment.

**Bridge the gap between design and reality**�by interpreting contract plans and specifications in the field, making real-time recommendations for revisions, and ensuring constructability while maintaining compliance with county standards and regulations.

**What you bring:�**

Technical Foundation:**�Associate's degree in engineering or related field experience, providing the analytical and technical knowledge base essential for complex construction inspection and quality assurance.

Hands-On Construction Experience:**�Minimum 5 years of related engineering or construction experience, with deep understanding of both vertical construction (buildings, renovations, roofing) and horizontal construction (utilities, stormwater, paving).
