Construction Project Manager

A leading organization in the energy sector is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the development of a large-scale power plant project . This role will provide full leadership and operational oversight of construction activities from project initiation through completion. This is a long-term opportunity tied to a major infrastructure project expected to span approximately 7 years, with potential extension up to 10 years . The selected candidate will join the team ahead of the project launch to gain familiarity with internal operations, planning processes, and project expectations. This position requires a strong leader with power generation construction experience who can manage complex projects, lead large teams, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the f ull construction lifecycle of a power plant project from planning through execution and completion
• Maintain strict adherence to safety standards, regulatory compliance, and quality control
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and operational milestones to ensure successful delivery
• Provide leadership and oversight to a team of approximately 20 direct reports on-site
• Coordinate closely with engineering, operations, and executive leadership teams
• Report directly to the Executive Vice President of Operations regarding project progress and strategic decisions
• Ensure effective collaboration with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction project management experience, preferably within power generation or heavy industrial construction
• Proven experience leading large-scale, complex construction projects from start to finish
• Minimum 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory capacity preferred
• Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and contractors

Preferred Technical Experience

• Experience using SAP and Bluebeam
• Strong understanding of construction management processes, safety programs, and project controls

Certifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) strongly preferred
• OSHA 30 certification required
