Construction Project Manager

Project Manager – Fluid Management & Temporary Pumping Projects

Location: Orlando, FL

Compensation: $70,000 – $120,000

Travel: 25% – 50%

Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and coordinate temporary fluid management, bypass, dewatering, and industrial pumping projects throughout the Southeast region. This role is responsible for managing projects from award through execution, ensuring all customer requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, and safety expectations are clearly defined and successfully delivered.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing equipment-based construction, industrial service, rental, or infrastructure projects and possess strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage awarded projects from contract award through completion.
  • Review project scope, schedules, specifications, and commercial requirements.
  • Lead customer kickoff meetings and establish project objectives and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project schedules, manpower plans, equipment requirements, and execution strategies.
  • Monitor project milestones, budgets, and profitability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Resolve project issues, scope changes, and scheduling conflicts efficiently.

Procurement & Resource Coordination

  • Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
  • Work closely with operations, fleet, and logistics teams to ensure resource availability.
  • Manage subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Track long-lead items and mitigate potential delays.

Scheduling & Logistics

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
  • Coordinate mobilization, installation, operations, and demobilization activities.
  • Ensure site readiness, access requirements, permits, and safety plans are in place prior to mobilization.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as needed.

Financial & Contract Management

  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability.
  • Track change orders, scope modifications, and contract compliance.
  • Review project performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate project documentation and reporting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Estimating, Engineering, Operations, and Safety teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Participate in project reviews, planning meetings, and post-project evaluations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practices.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience in construction, industrial services, infrastructure, rental equipment, or fluid management industries.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience reading plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software.

Preferred

  • Experience with temporary bypass, dewatering, pumping, filtration, HDPE piping, or fluid management systems.
  • Knowledge of municipal, utility, civil construction, or industrial project environments.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and equipment-based service projects.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials.
