Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager /District Facility Manager. This person will oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. This position combines district leadership with an active responsibility for new building projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive knowledge of construction management practices, and experience with relevant software tools. This role requires active participation with your team, not just leadership. This will involve traveling to all our locations within the greater Houston area. Some weekends and evenings will be required. You will need effective communication and coordination with the owner ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
. Travel to all locations weekly to oversee stores facilities.
. This role requires hands- on involvement with your team not only oversight.
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
- Develop project schedules using the provided software and ensure adherence to timelines.
- Oversee budgeting processes and manage project costs effectively. Oversee ensure low risk of theft.
- Utilize all tools provided to ensure Texas and local city regulations are followed.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards on construction sites.
- Conduct Daily site inspections to monitor progress and quality control.
- Read blueprints and schematics to guide project execution accurately.
- Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth operations.
- Prepare contracts and negotiate terms with vendors and subcontractors.
- Implement construction estimating techniques to forecast project expenses accurately.
- Supervise project teams, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience a minimum of ten years in construction management with a strong understanding of construction processes.
- Familiarity with construction management software.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, quality control, and contract management.
- Valid HVAC certification in the state of Texas.
- Previous experience in supervising teams on construction sites is essential.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Fire Marshal requirements and ADA compliance. Excellent communication skills, (bilingual spanish a plus) for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical skills for project estimating and budgeting tasks.
- Experience in resturaunts and Family entertainment projects is a plus.
